"I recently married James Small (Anoka '92), and we live in Chicago, IL, where James works for the FAA as an Air Traffic Controller. I graduated from the University of MN, Morris in March 1997 with a degree in English and Secondary Education. In December, I finish law school and will take the IL bar exam in February 2000. I plan to practice law in the areas of employment, labor, and school law. I did run into some of our alumni in custody as a student attorney public defender at the Anoka County Courthouse. "Well, it has been a while since I thought about the old days until I ran into Lisa Stiner at SCSU while visiting my girlfriend. But anyway I am surviving all of the snow and having a great time in Marshall. I will graduate after one more semester next year (cake walk generals) and then will be looking at teaching in the St. Paul school system...at least that is the plan. In the summers I still sleep at home in CR and I work as a daycamp director in Ramsey for the YMCA. I Mt. Bike, fish, and canoe in the few seconds I have free. After traveling the world studying different cultures while meeting my good friends abroad and living in a castle in England with the Duke doing some major site-seeing and soul-searching, I graduated from SCSU in August of 1998 summa cum laude and did some job hunting. I also did some writing and was published. But now I am working at an international company as their Marketing Coordinator. I am in charge of public relations there, as well as three websites. I also do some designing, writing, editing, proofreading, photography, etc. And I get to travel a bit with it, as well. So I'm doing pretty well!
